This is a view that's well-known to walkers heading up Snowdon from Pen-y-Pass. We're on the northern shore of Glaslyn ('Blue Lake'), looking across it to Y Lliwedd, the mountain that makes up the southern end of the Snowdon Horseshoe. Its the point where the hard work is about to begin. Or, of course, the end is in sight if you're on the way down.
