What you will receive
Framed Original Painting
If you buy an original painting you will receive a unique, one-off, piece of art. I use the highest quality acid-free materials and the painting is professionally framed behind glass and using hand-finished black stained and waxed oak. I use white double mounts.
If you would like a different frame, just get in touch.
All originals are signed and come with a certificate of authenticity.
Limited Edition Prints
Limited edition prints are copies of an original painting. Mine are made by specialist companies using giclee on museum quality materials and meeting The Fine Art Trade Guild standards. They are available in three formats:
-
paper print framed in black wood (other frames available on request)
-
paper print unframed (delivered in a postal tube so that you can get it framed locally)
-
a canvas print which is ready to hang on your wall
All of my limited editions are signed and come with a certificate of authenticity. Handwritten in the margin (or on the back in the case of a canvas) is the title, edition number and date.
What does 'Limited Edition' mean?
When producing prints from an original painting an artist can either make them 'open edition' (meaning they can produce as many prints as they like) or 'limited edition' (meaning they specify the maximum number that they will ever make). I limit all my editions to 50, meaning that no more than 50 will ever be made. This means that limited edition prints are more 'exclusive' than open editions
