Aran Fawddwy is the highest point on the Aran ridge that rises from the shores of Llyn Tegid (Bala) in southern Snowdonia. The ridge sits quite alone, away from other mountains, and can be seen from miles around in every direction. On this day, the weather hadn't been great but just for a few moments as I made my way up there was a break in the cloud and mist. I think it resulted in a very atmosheric scene and one that is fairly typical of Snowdonia.
