Anglesey Barracks are situated a short clamber above Llanberis, in Padarn Country Park. They housed workers at the Dinorwic slate quarry until the middle of the last century and surrounded by extensive other ruins they are an evocative reminder of those times. They are well worth a visit if you have an interest in industrial heritage or just want to spend a while in very atmospheric surroundings. The views towards Snowdon aren't bad either!
