"The recipe for a great workshop; a friendly enthusiastic teacher, quality materials in a beautiful setting and a tasty lunch oh and some cookies too. I have used pastels before but didn’t feel confident using them. Dave gave us all, novices and more advanced the time, space and tips to create great pieces. We all went away feeling we had achieved something positive. The day was relaxed, informative with everything you needed to create your artwork. The materials were the best quality both pastels and paper, Dave was very generous with all materials provided. Our individual tables were set with 3 boxes of different pastels, a table easel and desk light ready for us to create. Dave gave us his own resource materials to paint our own images. He was always on hand to offer advice of how to improve and encouraged ones less confident in their work with positive words of advice. The house itself is a beautiful building. The lunch was tasty and a good opportunity to talk to the other participants. Everyone went away from the day with big smiles and compliments for Dave, and their own pastel painting. Definitely worth going along to one of his workshops, novice or not. A great way to spend a day and lots to take with you to carry on at home. Thank you Dave."

"I can't thank you enough (and your wife) for the amazing day I had on Sunday. I was inspired to restart my art. I rearranged the kitchen and brought my easel out from the garage.
